monday blues!~ + taboo! :D
Jan 18th
i really have no idea why is it so dead today, but it seems so quiet to me. and yeah. had MOB taboo game today.
first round of the taboo, we guessed 8 correct cards in 5mins, but 8 of them “wrong/passed” cards! gahh 8-8=0 oh crap!
second round, we guessed 24 of them correctly in 7 mins, great improvement, and got only 3 of them “wrong” as the rules have changed, no longer need to minus the passed cards!
going to have the second round which is the actual one on thursday!
haha! thats for the day, was pretty boring and dry day, but at least had some fun games in class!
like it!
now going down to have a new haircut, hopefully no more bangs. hahas.

The 2010 Nee Soon South countdown concert sets the stage to offer 10,000 Singaporeans a platform to bond and celebrate the 2010. Sparkle On Nee Soon South (NSS) is a not-for-profit concert showcasing the best of local talent held on December 31, 2009, from 8.30pm – 12.30am, at the open field opposite Khatib MRT station.
This year, the organizers have decided to waive all entrance charges and participants can attend the designed-by-community-for-community concert for free.
“We know that Singaporeans have been through a lot this year, and we want them to enjoy the Countdown. We want spread a message of hope for a better year ahead. We have decided to keep this year’s countdown concert free, so that Singaporeans can enjoy a night of quality entertainment and bring along with them their family and friends without having to worry about ticketing fees” said Er. Lee Bee Wah, Member of Parliament for Ang Mo Kio GRC and Advisor to Nee Soon South Grassroots Organisations.
The event aims to deliver a message of Hope, a notion that resonates with Singaporeans can relate to because of the improving economy and H1N1 situation over the year.
The Concert will take on a ‘made-in-Singapore’ concept and will feature the best of Singapore’s talents. Audiences can expect familiar local artistes that will join them as they enter into 2010 together.
Building on the success of the inaugural concert last year, Sparkle On NSS continues to encourage stronger family and community bonds. The event attracted over 8,000 participants last year, including Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong who joined the crowd in counting down to the New Year.

Office 2010 Sneak Preview
brought to you by SPIC

went back to SP today to attend SPIC’s Office 2010 Sneak Preview to see whats the major improvements for the office applications.
So, are you still using Office 2003 and lagging behind the rest who can make compelling communication through files created using Office 2007? Time to make a move… or rather ahead of Office 2007.
Welcome to the Office 2010 beta.
Now you can catch a glimpse of the refined user experience and better productivity experience that everyone else can expect to touch it next year.
Now.. Reviewing Microsoft 2010
Looking into Office 2010, the file menu is totally different from 97 – 2003, and even the latest 2007 that is out in the market. It still uses Ribbons, but there is quite a number of UI enhancements, which made it different, as well as the implementation of Backstage View in 2010.
Confirmed features of Office 2010 include:
- Refined Ribbon interface and Backstage View across all applications
- Background Removal Tool
- Letter Styling
- New SmartArt templates
- New text and image editing effects
- Screen Capturing and Clipping tools
- Live collaboration functions
- Jumplists in Windows 7
In Powerpoint 2010, it has been changed quite alot, with new themes of course, plus new transitions, which made it near, and similar to Mac iWork Suite’s KeyNote.
With these, I’m pretty sure Office 2010 will be doing well if the production is done smoothly, with no bugs or errors hindering it.
We could see from the launch of Windows 7, and Office 2010 Beta, Microsoft has been trying to improve its so called ‘laggy’ operating system and office applications, to a all new experience for the users.
